Warranty Policy

At VAROLO, we stand behind the quality and safety of our smart helmets. We aim to offer a warranty process that is clear, fair, and straightforward, ensuring you can ride with peace of mind.

1. Warranty Period

In strict compliance with regional consumer protection laws, VAROLO offers the following warranty periods starting from the original date of purchase:

European Union, United Kingdom, and Norway: Two (2) years.

Rest of the World: One (1) year.

2. Coverage and Eligibility

This limited warranty covers any manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship under normal use during the Warranty Period. During this period, VAROLO will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace products or parts of a product that prove defective at no cost to the customer.

To be eligible for warranty support:

The claim must be made by the original purchaser. The warranty is non-transferable upon the sale, lease, or transfer of the product.

The warranty is only valid for products purchased directly from varologear.com. Products bought from third-party sellers or marketplaces are not eligible.

A valid proof of purchase (order number or receipt) is required.

Note: For purchases made through authorized retailers, we recommend contacting the retailer for assistance. We are unable to offer support for products bought from unauthorized third-party distributors or online marketplaces (e.g., eBay).

3. Warranty Exclusions

Smart helmets are safety devices equipped with integrated electronics. As such, this warranty does not apply to:

Normal wear and tear (e.g., scratches, scuffs, or fading of colors).
Battery degradation: Battery life issues are excluded as actual battery capacity naturally decreases over time and depends on usage, storage conditions, and charging habits.
Accidents and crashes: Damage resulting from falls, crashes, drops, or blunt force impacts. (Note: Once a helmet has suffered a significant impact, the shock-absorbing foam may be compromised, and the helmet should be replaced immediately).
Misuse and negligence: Damage caused by improper handling, extreme temperatures, or water damage beyond the product's certified IP rating.
Unauthorized modifications: Any issues caused by unauthorized repairs, disassembly of the electronic components, or alterations.
Second-hand purchases: We strongly discourage buying second-hand helmets due to potential unseen structural damage, and they are completely excluded from this warranty.

4. Product Condition Requirements for Returns

If a physical inspection or return is required to process your claim, the product must:

Include all original accessories (e.g., charging cables, remote, etc.).
Be safely and properly packaged to prevent further damage during transit.
For EU Customers: VAROLO will cover the reasonable return shipping costs for confirmed defective items in accordance with EU consumer law.

5. How to Start a Warranty Claim

To initiate a warranty claim, please contact our support team at support@varologear.com with the following information:

A clear description of the issue.
Your Order Number or a copy of your receipt/proof of purchase.
Photo or video proof demonstrating the defect.
Your current shipping address and phone number.

Each case will be individually evaluated by the VAROLO technical team. If a repair is not feasible and an exact replacement is unavailable, an equivalent product or a refund may be offered at our discretion.
